SASAKI YOHINTEN is a vintage clothing store based in Japan. They create original custome made clothes using antique cothes and fabrics.
They used to run a vintage clothing store called SPOOKY? in Shimokitazawa, focusing on European vintage and antique clothing. Since 2014, they have been creating new pieces using old clothes and fabrics as SASAKI YOHINTEN.
SASAKI YOHINTEN is well known not only in Japan but also abroad. They held their first fashion show "CONNECTION" in Paris in September 2023 to mark their 10th anniversary.
After the Paris Collection, they held an exhibition at Gallery Feles Omotesando (Tokyo) from 29th to 31st of March showcasing their work from the Paris Fashion Show.
There were many unique and beautiful pieces such as BORO (Japanese textiles that have been mended or patched together) sewn together by hand with Sashiko (traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching) thread by Mitsugu Sasaki and "imaginary traditional clothes" made from antique linens and old fabrics by Chiho Sasaki. Each piece seemed to reflect their passion for antique clothes and fabrics.
They are both very friendly and open minded and the exhibition had a very fun and welcoming atomosphere.

今回、3月29日から31日の3日間東京にあるギャラリーフェーレス表参道で開かれた、佐々木洋品店のパリコレ作品の展示に行ってきました！
佐々木洋品店は、下北沢でSPOOKY? というヨーロッパ古着やアンティークものを中心とした古着屋さんを開かれていましたが、2014年からは佐々木洋品店として古い服や古い布を使ってご夫婦で素敵な作品を作られています。現在は、オンラインショップで国内外で作品を販売されています。
国内だけではなく、海外からも注目されている佐々木洋品店ですが、佐々木洋品店10年の節目ということで2023年9月に『CONNECTION-継ぐ布-』というテーマで、初のファッションショーをパリで開催しました。
今回の展示では、パリコレでの様子やパリコレでの作品、ネットショップでは掲載されていない作品が並んでおり、どれも一点モノで見応えがありました。
古い布を刺子糸で手縫いで縫い合わせたパッチワーク作品や、アンティークリネンや古い布で作られた「架空の民族衣装」など、世界中の古い服や古い布と日本の伝統をかけ合わせた新しくユニークな作品も多く、作品の一点一点からおふたりの想いが伝わってくるようでした。
お二人とも人柄がよく、展示でも気さくにお話されており、とても素敵な空間でした！これからも佐々木洋品店の活躍には目が離せません。
